Wherein Izuku still gets attacked by the sludge villain, but it's not All Might who saves him.
An exerpt:
It was February, early enough that they hadn’t gotten the results back from UA. The nerd’s leg was shaking again, rattling his desk in an uneven beat. The restless leg came paired with the deep purple—almost blue—bags under the nerd’s eyes, and the occasional thump of his head hitting his desk as he fell asleep.
Not that Katsuki was keeping track, but that’s probably the point where he started to genuinely worry about the nerd. If he was being honest, he’d say it started in the fall, when the nerd first started coming to school with bruises. Katsuki and his cronies had given the nerd bruises before, but none that looked like what he’s started coming to school with. Katsuki and his idiots had never actually hurt the nerd on purpose, beyond the consequences of being shoved. The nerd had never come to school with a limp or a cast because of them.
Those bruises, though. They looked like hands.
